Thewis or Bucephalas as we call him is an exceptional, beautiful fairy tale 3rd preemie STER Gelding. He has matured to 16.1 and exhibits a lovely personality with beautiful flowing gates due to his compact build. He was imported from the Netherlands in 2002, and has had one previous owner who did not ride him. His bloodlines are SUPERB (all Ster, Pref, or Model): Mother is STER,Grandmother is a STER, and Great-Grandmother is a STER. His Sire, FETSE 349 is a 1st Premium Stallion Training: In Denmark, Thewis was schooled to M1 then imported. In the U.S. he has been schooled in Spanish Riding School from Jerez, Spain, and classical dressage. Kept in professional training for the past 4 years under the supervision of his current owner, Thewis scored in the mid 60â��s at his first Dressage show this June, and we are showing him 1st level in July. His gates are lovely, and the canter is to die for! He is registered and competing with the USDF/USEF/FHANA. He been schooled in Traditional Spanish Riding Techniques, along with some Western training. He lounges, long lines and has used a serretta. Heâ��s not afraid of whips, and has been ridden with and without spurs.
