well, it’s anything …
well, it’s anything but simple. it takes SO much obedience, discipline, and balance to do all that. I sure do like to see the rider praising the horse like he did. I wish more western riders would do that in America… most of them just finish and walk out without petting them. I think that a little praise goes a LONG way!

How did you make this horse so amazing? I’m training a horse right now, and she just won’t learn.

i thought there was only one thing, when he was loping on the right lead across the poles and the horse had to take a reach, but that was all the horse could do,.
i think we all know why this horse and rider were champion!
In dressage horses …
In dressage horses should be relaxed while those performing the exercise. The horse should also be collected, and it is perhaps why it looks as if it is strained.The horse will still have a lot of energy, but at the same time be relaxed. But I agree, there are too many who do not treat their horses well, and have completely forgotten what dressage is like.

Simply because you see, in this video the horse seems so relaxed, whereas in the clasic spanish dressage for example every inch of its body is tense. I might be wrong though.
