Friesian Dressage Horse For Sale

admin on January 29th, 2012

Meike is a stunning 6 year old mare. She draws an audience with her beauty and noble presence. Her big movement requires an intermediate rider. She has an excellent work ethic and her positive attitude towards learning makes her a delight to ride. She is elegant and has a very confident character and a truly great temperament. She leads easily, xties, stands to mount and much more. She is very sweet. She was started at age 4. I’ve been working with her twice a week for three weeks and in this time have developed a great respect for her work ethic, and confident, charming character. She is ridden 3 other days of the week by an amateur rider. She is schooling at training level and I will continue to update the video every two weeks. Meike is beautiful and an excellently bred Friesian. She would love to have a person she could bond with as she is very affectionate. Whether in the arena, out for a trail ride, or free in pasture, she catches your eye. Stabled in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. Asking $17,000 to a long term, caring home. Please email rocconmarie@gmail.com for updated video, appointment, and more info.

I love to paint horses, so i am hoping to find a relatively cheap source for unpainted horses to paint or 3D horse molds that i can use to make my own horses to paint. I already have several of the Breyer ones, but as a college student i was hoping to find something a little cheaper. I have also looked into making my own molds, but i am worried they would take the paint of the horse i used to create the mold. Anyone know a good solution or source for models and molds?

thanks!
ayshaya

The easiest thing to do is get the Stone Horse unpainted models, but they are a little pricy.

I’ve had very good luck buying cheapo played with models off ebay – you can get them very inexpensively in box lots – and then sanding off the existing paint with fine steel wool. I also like to repose them before finishing for repainting.

Of course, if you’re doing a complete repaint without reposing, you can probably just paint over the existing paint – original matte finish breyer and stone models, especially the solid colored ones, have a fine texture that takes primer well.

Some examples from a 5 minute ebay search:

Enjoy! :)

admin on January 28th, 2012

I’m bored and was looking at some horse classifieds. (Admit it, you do it to.) One thing I continuously see is "he/she/ it eats a lot" …DUH. horses graze 18 hours a day.. Of course they eat a lot!

So now I’m wondering what you have seen that was stupid/dumb/humerus on horse ads. Just for laughs. Be nice (:

Entries are certified to possess the conformation and characteristics that meet the standards required for breeding. The video shows three Stallions being inspected by Irish Draught Society Judges.
