on the catalogue for horse sale it says HB in some of the horses ad’s..
what does it mean?

How is it used in an ad? Could you give me an example?

  2. I was curious, so I used this website:

    I am pretty sure it means "Hot Babe," "Humphrey Bogart," or "Hepatitis B." Afterall, I use those terms to describe my horses all the time.

    But no, seriously, I agree with "home bred," although I have heard the term "hay burner" (meaning they go through a lot of hay) I do not think many people would advertise that.
    HB can also mean "home business" in a classified ad.
    If you are looking at quarter horses, there is a prefix HB before some of the names, but it is just part of the registered name.
