Looking for Horses for sale in the Altoona,Pa area?
HI im trying to find a horse for my mothers birthday. ive checked the adoption sites but i cant seem to find one i can afford. Don’t get me wrong I will be able to give it all it needs but I don’t have 2000 to buy one. If anyone knows of any in this area or close to it please let me know. Thanks Jess
Sorry you have to go through that, a horse rescue should never charge that much. I’m part of a horse rescue and the highest we charged is 500. I can give you some sites to help, but have you tried a personally owned and operated horse rescue?
www.craigslist.org look under farm-garden for livestock aka horses
www.equine.com
http://www.thehorse.com/Horses/Available.aspx this one has free horses to good homes you might have to pay for shipping.
Good Luck.

I am from Bedford, PA (30 miles south of Altoona) and this week is the Bedford County Fair (until Saturday), last night my daughter and I were at the horse barns and there were at least 5 horses with for sale signs on the stall doors. Nice looking (mostly Quarter Horses). Also try buying "The Paper Horse" a type of paper with horses, tack, trailers, etc. for sale in our area (usually sold at tack shops). Good Luck!!
