Horse for Sale… Trail Riding or Cow Work

One of my training clients is going to sell their filly so I thought I should
tell you about her… just in case she’s what you’re looking for.

She’s a cute, 14.2 hand, sorrel filly with a blazed face and one white sock.

Her registered name is kind of cool.

It’s “Dayluge” (I believe it’s a French pronunciation… Day… luge as in
the Olympic snow sled event).

Anyway, Dayluge’s owners have taken her on trail rides with and
without other horses along and she’s been great.

I’ve ridden her outside, all around the Sliding J ranch and there are
plenty of scary objects to spook at but she never does.

When she sees something scary, she just stops, takes a good look at
it and then keeps on going like a trail horse should.

Now, I’m not saying she’ll never spook because ALL horses will spook
at one time or another.

I’m just saying she’s not the spooking kind.

Nor am I saying she’s this ultimate, tested trail horse you can take
anywhere and handle difficult situations.

I’m just saying, she has the “aptitude” to be that way.

I’ve worked this filly on cattle the past two months and she has plenty
of cow and wants to work.

She works them with a low head and shows a lot of expression.

We shot a video of me riding Dayluge and uploaded it to youtube.

Be aware, I didn’t do the filly justice in this video.

I was short on time and in a hurry so I didn’t prepare her as well
as I could have.

You can see I’m kind of rushing her through it.

Even so, the filly is priced really low considering what she can do.

Here’s Dayluge’s pedigree:

DAYLUGE, 2007 AQHA Sorrel Mare

Sire: Smart Zanolena by Smart Chic Olena.
Dam: Departure Day by Miss N Cash

Price: $3500
