  2. well
    the horse info
explains how he is not fully trained yet.
you will need more experence to work with a horse that is not fully ready. you should start with a begginer horse for a begginer. yes his very calm. rate 2. but you must remember thats not when your on him. he needs work to be ready to do things.
keep you eyes open. and remember NEVER just buy a horse over the internet with out riding them first. and meeting them.
also. this horse dose western things. events. so for you to do dressage with him. you wwould fully have to teach him. horses dont just no what to do. they dont no form, commands. ect. so its not just you who learn what to do, but your horse. horse events are team work with you and your horse.
so be sure to get a horse that already knows what you plain on doing. or first learn how to train a horse. then go from there.
    GOOD LUCK!

  3. Go for the third one. He looks steady and sweet, not to mention he looks beautiful as a horse in general. Bazooka Joe, that’s what I think!

    Best of Luck!

  5. I think a 16hh horse is too complex to handle and as you are only a beginner I would deeply advise going for this horse. Also the horse doesn’t look very well looked after, the fur is all matted and he is way too skinny, I think this horse would be too powerful for you to handle. I am sorry but I really don’t think this is the right horse for you. Speak to your instrusctor at riding and see what and who she would recommend. Good luck with the horse thing, and please for your sake don’t pick this horse, just read my sources, it is all true

I am 13 years old and about the same height as you, i fell off my friends 16hh horse in canter and I broke my collerbone and my leg, I was in hospital for 2 weeks and then a wheelchair for 4 months. The horse was too powerful for me, please dont let this happen to you. I never got back on my horse, i sold him, i was wearing a body protector, just think if i wasnt. Please don’t let this happen to you

  7. The prices of the horses you are looking at are all over the place . . . if you are going to buy a horse, do you know what you are really able to pay? The $2300 horse is lovely, but it is not trained enough. Have you taken lessons? If not, then you could take lessons and show the horses belonging to the barn, or actually lease a horse at the barn that has the experience you would want for that type of riding. A horse that is not fully trained will take a trainer to get it where you want it, and that will cost quite a bit. If you really have decided that you are going to buy a horse, have you tried the website, http://www.dreamhorse.com? In Colorado, there are so many horses available; just get a horse that IS trained and vet-checked for soundness, because a jumper really has to have good legs. Take a very experience horse person with you, perhaps if you are taking lessons, you could bring that person with you to help match you with the right horse. Good luck.
