My photos and video of the undefeated ZENYATTA before, during, and after her win in the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (formerly known as the Distaff). In the video are trainer John Shirreffs, groom Mario Espinoza, and exercise rider Steve Willard. Also included is horse racing journalist Steve Haskin, just being a fan.

Learn about real class horses and not just hyped horses! Breeding plays a big part. This horse has everything you could ever want from a mare! Class,Temprement and Speed.

A horse’s rank as a champion isn’t measured my the surface it runs on or who it races against. A horse’s rank is judged by the way it wins, it’s character if you will. And Zenyatta has the character of a Champion.

Champions run on dirt or turf, not on rubber and carpet that is churned up to create a racetrack. No champion has ever been considered such with an astericks by their name. Thats what she will be, a decent horse that ran against lousy competition in 9 of her first 11 career races. Only shipped once and was coddled through an undefeated career by connections who disrespected the game and their horse by running her against allowance horses the majority of her career. she might have been great!
