What are some good websites to look on for FEI level dressage horses?
I am looking for a new horse to try to get to the dressage portion of NAJYRC (in the Junior division) in the next show season. I am looking for a horse that is competing at least PSG and still in training for (eventually) Grand Prix. I would like a horse that I can move up the levels and show. I would like to be able to earn my medals with the horse. I know I am making trips to Wellington, Florida and Colorado this summer.
So to make a long story very very short, I’m looking for a great moving schoolmaster that can still train up. I need safety and a sound horse. If you know of any sites that can help me find a horse to fit this criteria, please share.
horses who are ready or nearly ready to compete at international level rarely come up for sale on the open market.
You should speak to your instructor and the other contacts you have made throughout your time competing. Once people know that you’re on the lookout for a potential top class horse word will spread and you’ll be far more likely to find what you’re looking for than if you spent hours wading through sales websites.

There are tons of FEI horses for sale, just google "dressage horses for sale" and tons will come up. I am also looking for a schoolmaster just like you (I’ve been looking for the past two and a half years!), and it will be hard to find a good one. When you think about it, who wants to sell their FEI horse? Usually if they are selling them, there is something wrong with them. Try letting everyone know that you are looking for a new horse and let them find you. My trainer just took me to see a fantastic I1 horse I might be interested in buying, and are selling him because he has a spook they don’t like…but I won’t tell you where I found him

this is by far, the most state of the art warmblood raising and training operation i have ever seen. they have a huge clientele and may be able to help you find the right horse. they host not only the american hanoverian society inspections but also the isr/oldenburg inspections as well.
it is where scott hassler used to train.
he is the founder of the usdf young riders program.

That is GREAT that you are doing NAJYRC! I am SO jealous of you!! Good luck!!
Well depending where you live, there are lots of private dressage farms that train and sell horses. For example, KYBdressage.com sells upper level horses for the most part and I live fairly close to them. You could search your state (or city) and then fei dressage, and you may get some results.
Otherwise, some other good ones are
warmbloods-for-sale.com
kybdressage.com
dressagehorsesunlimited.com
dressagestar.com
horsesdaily.com/horsemarket/index.html
dressage.to/salebarn_html
I might also want to add that no matter what, for what you are asking, you are looking at a BIG price tag. You’re probably going to end up spending a pretty penny on whatever you are looking at getting.
Good luck at the NAJYRC and getting your dream guy I hope to see you there!!
