Maybe Tomarno – 2000 APHA Sorrel Tobiano Gelding. Located in Franktown, Colorado. Beautiful All-Around Paint. “Jag” is a talented Tobiano gelding, with a good deal of show experience. He excels in Western Riding, Trail, and Showmanship, yet holds his own in Horsemanship & WP, and does very well in HUS & Equitation. Jag can do it all! He is a beautiful mover and his flying lead changes are to die for! Jag is currently showing with a 13 & Under youth. They pointed out of Novice Youth their first year together. The pair were 2009 Zone 3 #1, 2008 Zone 3 #2,and they have placed extremely well at big shows, such as AjPHA World Shows, World Wide paint horse Congress, National Western Stock Show, Tulsa March Mania, and have many High Point Awards. They have a Superior in HUS, multiple ROMs and received their Versitilty this spring. Jag is HYPP/nn, sound, trailers, clips, and travels great. He has no vices and is an all around easy keeper. Jag would make a great horse for just about anyone. He has a good heart and soft eye. Robin Vess, who neglected nearly 50 arabian horses in Ottawa County, was sentenced to 42 days in jail in Ottawa County jail.
The 42 days in jail equal to each of the horses she neglected.
She was also ordered by an Ottawa County judge to pay $8,711 for her crime.
A jury found her guilty of animal cruelty in April.
Vess will serve a full 18 months if she violates her parole – the maximum sentence.

I’m looking for a horse to lease and I stumbled across this advertisement- and the horse is AT THE BARN where I already am, which is extremely convienent. However, the horse is for sale, not lease.
So I really have two questions: first, can you find any conformation faults or any other flaws with her? And second, do you think the owner would be open to negotiation- to lease instead of buying? Particularly since the horse’s price is SO ridiculously high and few people can dish out $25,000 on a horse in this economy.

Oh, yes, I forgot my own information.
I’m sixteen, have been riding since I was four, and have been riding dressage since I was twelve. I’ve leased 4 other horses and am extremely committed to riding. My parents think jumping is too dangerous so I’m only allowed to do flatwork- therefore, I’d be riding the mare in dressage. Also, the mare, as you can see, is quite tall but slender, which is my build exactly so we’re physically compatible.
Also, I’m a bit nervous because when I spoke to the owner on the phone, she seemed a bit…contemptuous, as if I were mentally handicapped or something. If I lease this horse, I’ll have to deal with the owner on a regular basis…and she seems both ditzy and nasty.
Unfortunately, in my area, there aren’t a lot of dressage horses that I’ve really liked…but I think I really like Madison.

I don’t know about all the horses in your area but that price is ridiculously high for my area. I would recommend that you do a lot more research for your new horse. If you are going to lease then you are limited by your location but if you desire to buy then you can look anywhere. If you really have that kind of money to throw around on horses then you should consider buying one from a better priced area and having it shipped to you.

Go there and see the truth about this great rescue. Better yet go out and see the horses and actually talk to them. None of these people (Hagerman, Wearn and Corey) have ever been to Hope For Horses or spent more than a few minutes talking to Jenny or anyone else at HFH. They have little to no experience with Neglected, Abandoned or Abused horses (NAA) This is a sad video with no understanding about the complexity of horse rescue and rehabilitation. This is all driven by the assumption that Jenny Edwards somehow masterminded the seizure of the 2 horses from Corey. There are documents that prove that Pierce County Auditor Pat McCarthy authorized the seizure and that HFH just acted as the “towtruck” driver in picking up the horses. I think they know this now but they have made such a stink that they can’t back down without losing face.
