For costume class I’m painting my whole horse one color. I know it can be done because a girl painted her horse pink a different year. I need a paint that is horse safe, dries fast, easy to use, and washes off VERY easily and thoroughly without leaving any color remaining on the horse, even a white horse. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
ooh do it as a zebra!

A Horse With No Name
On the first part of the journey,
I was looking at all the life.
There were plants and birds. and rocks and things,
There was sand and hills and rings.
The first thing I met, was a fly with a buzz,
And the sky, with no clouds.
The heat was hot, and the ground was dry,
But the air was full of sound.
I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name,
It felt good to be out of the rain.
In the desert you can remember your name,
‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain.
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
After two days, in the desert sun,
My skin began to turn red.
After three days, in the desert fun,
I was looking at a river bed.
And the story it told, of a river that flowed,
Made me sad to think it was dead.
You see I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name,
It felt good to be out of the rain.
In the desert you can remember your name,
‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain.
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
After nine days, I let the horse run free,
‘Cause the desert had turned to sea.
There were plants and birds, and rocks and things,
There was sand and hills and rings.
The ocean is a desert, with its life underground,
And a perfect disguise above.
Under the cities lies, a heart made of ground,
But the humans will give no love.
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la
La la, la, la la la la, la la la, la, la

I’ve heard that it can cause odd coloring but Ive never seen any pictures or known it for a fact. I have a appaloosa POA mare that I want to breed with a paint stallion. Before I do, I want to see some pictures and know if it is a good or bad idea.
Look up Pintaloosa on google images and look at what comes up. I think all horses are absolutely stunning, especially ones with odd eye catching markings. ![]()
This site also has some information on them http://www.freewebs.com/tpallen/pintaloosa.htm and apparently they are actually becoming quite popular.
And also horse learning too. I know he did scientific studies and found the different gaits but my trainer said he learned a lot from him. And he wanted me to try and watch some video’s online but I can’t find any. Also I only found Monte Foreman’s Horse-Training Science book but that was it. So how can I find more books and videos about Monte Foreman? And also any other videos and books great for beginners, but nothing childish, would be great.
Thanks so much!
I have never heard of Monte Foreman! I typed his name on amazon.com, and came up with this search. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=monte+foreman
Here is another link to videos for riding and training, good luck!

Seriously, why? they breed their colorful stallions to a solid mare. does breeding colorful paint to colorful paint decrease the chance of a colorful foal? why do they always use solids?
i KNOW that colorful paints can mate with colorful paints and produce color…my friends overo bred with a tobiano and produced an overo that looked EXACTLY like the overo stallion…
but can someone explain this to me?
Many breeders aren’t breeding just for colour. Though colour is awesome, and paints, appaloosas and other breed registries appreciate unique colours, temperament and conformation are also key factors in producing top quality foals. If a mare is a great performance horse and is obedient, smart, and a good mother, many breeders will take the chance and breed her. As has been said before, many paint stallions can be homozygous for their respective pinto pattern, or even carry more than one pattern. Mares can also express pinto patterns in a minimal form, making them appear as if they only have the usual stockings and face markings. Breeding a coloured stallion to a non-coloured mare has at least a 50% chance of producing a spotted foal.
Also, for patterns like Overo, which is closely linked to a recessive trait that is lethal in homozygous form, it is safer to breed certain pinto stallions to solid-coloured mares. If you breed an overo to an overo there is at least a 25% chance that your foal will not live.
I bred a coloured appaloosa mare to a solid, non-characteristic appaloosa stallion, because the stallion was well-built and had a desirable temperament. He was also a versatility champion and was proven in trail, jumping, and in both western and hunt seat pleasure and equitation. I was hoping for some colour, but mostly, I was hoping for a well-tempered and attractive performance horse.
This probably sounds stupid but my horse is a beautiful friesian cross and i was wondering if there was anyway that i could make her a model in the horse magazines? For example Stateline Tack has horses modeling their tack. Does anybody know how those horses get into that?
It’s pretty hard to do. Usually they pick very prestigous stables that have great horses. I would stick to using your mare’s beauty as an advantage when showing, rather than modeling.
Just some footage taken by friends at the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Classic in what was likely Zenyatta’s final race. She will be greatly missed. Zenyatta is not only a “Horse of the Decade,” but also a “Horse of the People” — she inspired so many fans, and the connection she had with them is just indescribable. I have never witnessed such admiration (even for human entertainers and athletes) in my life! She will surely go down in the history books as one of the GREATEST horses that ever lived! I feel very lucky to have seen her and to have witnessed her races in my lifetime. I am thankful for all the memories, which I will share with all my children and great, great, grandchildren
Zenyatta — Thank you for all the memories… Happy retirement !!!
